 Jacalyn Watson - Biography |

I am still charmed by the countryside of my home town, Ellensburg, Washington, nestled in the Kittitas Valley in Central Washington's ranching community. As a young girl, horseback riding was my primary focus, and weekends were spent exploring the back country around the Valley.
I earned my B.A. and Teaching Certification from the University of Washington in 1974 and began teaching in 1978 as a substitute teacher in the Mat-Su Valley. Over the next 25 years I taught elementary, high school, and college classes in Alaska, Michigan, and the Pacific Northwest.
More recently, I completed an M.Ed. in Education Technology with an emphasis in Instructional Design and E-Learning. As a business partnership owner in Arizona, I developed traditional and web-based instructional materials and maintained an e-commerce site for several years. |
Sailing is my latest hobby! My husband and I have sailed at Lake Pleasant in Arizona and in San Diego Bay. We completed our Basic Keelboat Certification in 1999. We sailed the Blue Yonder, shown in the pictures.
